As you can see from the “History of the Laboratory,” the Laboratory of Fermentation Microbiology treasures a tradition of excellence over many years. This is a proud lineage for us. As described on the top page, high vitality and productivity have been maintained by the passion and effort of many undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research students in our laboratory. We work on our research, now as in the past, with feelings of pride in the Laboratory of Fermentation Microbiology. We sincerely hope that all of you who have high aspirations, and who are willing to work hard on your research, will become new members of the Laboratory of Fermentation Microbiology.
To people who are hoping to join our laboratory as international students or researchers
For the past decade, we have accepted about one to three new international students (research students or graduate students) every year. We will also consider foreign researchers who are applying for post-doctoral fellowships, such as those from the JSPS and some other foundations.
